Day 4: No Agenda

Saturday, July 30th

I love the days on vacation that there are no agendas.  By Saturday we had several days of tourist activities, so today was a day to relax.  After sleeping in and finally making it out of the hotel by noon, it was time for our Starbucks stop.  Jordan and I found a park in Westlake Downtown Seattle and there we sat and watched a wide variety of individuals for hours.  The SeaFair parade happened to be the same weekend, so we got to watch the whole process of setting up a parade and of course we had to come back in the evening for the actual event.

One of the highlights of the trip for everyone happened Saturday afternoon.  We decided to go back to Pioneer Square for the Underground Tour, but had plenty of time to wait for the next available tour.  We walked over to the park and found FREE salsa dancing lessons and Mom and I joined right in.  Before the lessons even began we noticed a guy that really enjoyed dancing to his own beat.  He never really seemed to be in the right place at the right time.  Overall, this experience caused all four of us to die laughing and learn some new moves!

Finally it was our turn for the Underground Tour, which is a humorous tour of the buried city.  There are so many interesting facts about Seattle and how the city has had to rebuild itself several times due to flooding and fires.
