Day 2: Space Needle

Thursday, July 28th is a day of sites, walking, sites, and more walking.

We started the morning off with Starbucks---that's always a theme and then headed to the Space Needle.  In Seattle, there is a City Pass that is a great investment if you like to visit all the museums.  There are six different tourist attractions included in the packet, even a harbor cruise.  Who doesn't want to go out on the water?

It was such a clear morning that we could even see Mt Rainier.  What a great view of the city and harbor!

After we left the Space Needle we went around the corner to Zeek's Pizza and I would highly recommend this pizza parlor as they have such a wide variety of choices.  The Pacific Science Center and Experience Music and Science Fiction were two museums included in the packet.  We loved the Pacific Science Center which included fitness information, a butterfly museum, and Jordan's choice of a Bob Marley's laser show.  We completed the other museum in about 30 minutes.  We got to play a variety of instruments, but found it not very exciting when we couldn't play any of them.

After the museums, we took a long walk towards the pier for our harbor cruise.  Oh wait, I think we stopped at Starbucks again!  We boarded the last cruise of the evening and had a very informative tour guide.  It was great to learn about the harbor and the shipping industry.  When a ship comes into port everyday that it is docked it costs the company $30,000.  Also, in the port included a military device that I can't even begin to explain, but it was very rare that it was in Seattle.  If you look very close it is the white ball in the distance.
