Time for New Beginnings

Thursday, August 6

It's summer time and at this moment, I've been able to enjoy summer.  It's not so great where one is sitting at the kitchen counter and you hear a sound coming from your closet.  Not the greatest moment to find your clothes on the floor.  Good thing maintenance was close by and able to stop in for a quick check.  Time for a new shelf because you know I'm not getting rid of the clothes.

Friday, August 7

Time for a new haircut and color.  It's been awhile since I've gotten my hair fixed, so today was a fresh new start.  On my way home, I would pass Bryan's office.  So, I had to see if he could sneak out early for a happy hour.  Oh it reminded me of the days of Happy Hour!

Saturday, August 8

What better way to start the day than a little golfing!  For our 6 month anniversary I got Bryan golf passes (2, one for me of course).  I had a few pars, but not enough.  Gives me something to practice.  That evening we went to our Braves game together.  It was a last minute decision and so much fun!

Sunday, August 9

Time for a little Mellow Mushroom pizza! Yum!

Monday, August 10th

Happy Birthday Jordan!  Love you lots and miss you.

Today was my first day at the Food Panty helping give out food to families. Had a blast!  I could of found my calling!

Tuesday, August 11

Sweet messages from Bryan.  We were joking about the picture and the messages we could send to each other. Like here's your "to do" list.  So, here's what I found on the message board!

Wednesday, August 12 and Thursday August 13th:  No pictures.  Who knows what I was doing.  I had an interview with a university and keeping our fingers crossed on the background check now!

Friday, August 14th:  Bryan had a friend come into town for his 40th birthday party.  So, we went to Buckhead for the celebration.

Saturday, August 15h

Piedmont park had an arts festival and we had a great time checking out all the art we didn't purchase!

Sunday August 16

It's never fun to be sick, especially when you are heading out the door.  Not sure what we ate, but somehow Bryan wasn't feeling the greatest.  Nothing like ginger ale and a little rest.

Monday, August 17

Yummy food!  Made a great dinner, if I do say so myself!

Tuesday, August 18:  Oops!

Wednesday, August 19:  Went to dinner with Pallavi and had to stop at the gelato counter on our way out.  This shouldn't be a new beginning!

Thursday, August 20:  I can finally relax as I feel I have some jobs in the works.  Nothing like a pool day with a book!

Friday, August 21

Starbucks is a treat now.  I haven't had Starbucks in FOREVER. 1.  I have a coffee machine that is wonderful.  2.  It cost a bit to enjoy this treat.  Jordan gave me a gift and today was the day to redeem this prize.  Thanks J!

Time to Give Back

If there's one thing I have right now, it's time!  So, now is the time to give back.

Tuesday, August 4th

New Volunteer orientation at North Fulton Community Charities. I'm signing up to help in the Food Pantry.  Look for pictures in the future.

Wednesday, August 5th

Box 'em up and ship 'em out.  Today I helped in a warehouse (did i mention Atlanta is HOT) and we sorted through books that were donated to give to Africa.  I think I'll be back weekly!

Summer Lovin' Happened So Fast

Saturday, August 1st

There are always ups and downs in life and it seems this summer there have been more times I've had to just hold on because I am on a ride.  This weekend was a much needed weekend of fun and Bryan time.  I am so blessed to have such a strong rock beside me daily and we had one FUN weekend.

We went to the professional tennis match that is held downtown. It was my first professional match and it was FUN!  We watched a singles and doubles match and rolled back home at 2 AM.

Sunday, August 2nd

Whole foods is now having a vegan pizza by the slide.  I think I just found a new spot!

Monday, August 3rd

Happy 6 Months to Bryan!  It has been an absolute joy to live life with you!  We celebrated by going to Canoe (I guess I've talked about it ALOT!) .  I got a beautiful necklace and bracelet and Bryan is going golfing (hopefully with me) and a picture frame to write messages back and forth on.  I'm so excited for what the future will bring!  I'm the luckiest!

Detoxing

Tuesday, July 28

It's time to get back to "normal" life.  It's time to readjust what I'm consuming and putting back in the miles!

First stop, grocery store to start a 3 day juice diet!

Wednesday, July 29th:  Blame it on the juice, I can't think straight and forgot the picture.

Thursday, July 30

In Atlanta it gets HOT.  What is not a good idea (blame the juice) is to run in over 100 degrees at 3:00 in the afternoon.  This is one HOT and tired girl.

Friday, July 31

Finishing a week of detox with a tennis match.  Following the match we had a Blue Moon.  Once in a blue moon…..you feel you'll never do a juice diet again!!

Boys Are In Town

Wednesday, July 22nd

The boys are on the way to Atlanta, which we were all over the top excited, so we need to prepare.  I had a nice healthy meal for Bryan so we could eat out with the boys all weekend!

Thursday, July 23rd

Big travel day and a big heart stop.  I headed through the airport to see the most massive security line and realized I was going to be cutting it close on time to get to the boys gate. This was the FIRST time they ever flew by themselves.  So, I made it!  They were heading in early when out of the blue a MAJOR storm approached.  I heard a few planes being diverted when I heard KC was heading to Birmingham.  No way.  Hours later I finally got to see my sweet nephews and they weren't going back on a plane again.  We will address that when we need to, for now.  PARTY!

Friday, July 24

Ever since moving to Atlanta, the boys wanted to go to Coke to taste all the delicious flavors and get a sugar high.  We made our way to the tasting room where I had to drag the boys out to get to lunch.  CNN food court was  great option where we stopped at three different restaurants, Subway (Brady), Arby's (Ty), and Fresh to Order (me).  We headed to Top Golf where the boys had a blast and are now official members!  Finally we got to meet up with Bryan and Connor and we headed to the Gwinnett Braves game.  What a great ending to a day!

Saturday, July 25

Boys had a slumber party so we started with breakfast in front of the TV.  We headed for the river to Float the Hooch.

Sunday, July 26

After church we headed for Stone Mountain where the boys did everything from ropes course, miniature golf, train rides, water park, and 4D movies!

Monday, July 27

Final moments before saying goodbye.  We honestly all had a blast and I can't wait to do it again.  We did nothing but FUN for 4 days! Love you boys!
